Isabel has been photographed out and about a lot this past week! She’s been to a car rental place, a hair salon, and out taking walks with her friends. Lots of photos have been added to the Gallery for you, most of which are in HQ! Thanks go to Mariana for some. Isabel looks so gorgeous in each set, and I love her outfits. Having said that, daily candids of Isabel make me feel a bit uncomfortable. We all know how shy and private Isabel is, so it sometimes feels a bit wrong to be posting candids of her … more so right now when there are, for some reason, lots. I’m not saying that I’m going to stop posting these candids, but depending on how many sightings continue to pop up, and what Isabel may say about the paparazzi in future interviews, it may be something I think about again soon. Isabel Lucas Online aims to be your #1 resource for everything Isabel, but at the same time, more than anything I want this to be a respectful fansite that Isabel would be proud of. Izzy has been photographed out and about in Los Angeles a couple of times in the past few days – on August 22nd she was seen going for lunch with her Red Dawn co-star Josh Hutcherson, and then on August 24th she went out on a bike ride with a friend. She looks really pretty in both sightings – I just love her casual style! – and look at how her blue dress matches her blue bike! As previously reported, The Pacific was nominated for many Emmy awards, and last night the Creative Arts Emmys took place in Los Angeles. The Creative Arts Emmys ceremony focuses on just that, the creative arts of make-up, art direction, editing, effects etc. The Pacific picked up 7 awards, so congratulations goes to all the crew who excelled at their work on this series! The full awards ceremony takes place next Sunday night, and The Pacific stands to win in another 5 categories there.

I have a nice little update for you today! My awesome friend Mariana has just sent me new candids of Isabel out and about in Los Angeles yesterday. Isabel looks so gorgeous in her long flowing white dress and red head-band! Perfect hippie-chic again, and very classic Isabel. Her raspberry drink looks yummy too! Yesterday in Beverley Hills, Isabel attended artist Tasya van Ree’s ‘Untitled Project’ exhibition. She looked very hippie-chic and very Isabel in a long flowing creme dress with flowers, orange scarf and ‘bed hair’. She also looks to be carrying her favourite little black fur-trimmed jacket, which we’ve seen her wear at a few events. Isabel was photographed alongside fellow Hollywood beauty Amber Heard, and Tasya herself. You can see some of Tasya’s work at her official site and Facebook page. A couple of weeks ago I did a big Gallery update, but forgot to post about it! Various pictures were added, including additional candids, old photoshoots and magazine covers, and various screencaptures. The main new additions are listed below, but browse the Last uploads for everything uploaded that day, July 17th. There were also *new* candids added, of Izzy and a friend leaving a movie theatre in Los Feliz. Since then I’ve also continued to work on our content, with the recent MIFF events being added to the Style Rundown page, a new 2004 interview in the Press section, and a couple of new quotes and bits of trivia added. Then onto the Filmography pages, and I’ve updated and completed the Theatre and Adverts pages. I did a lot of research to write these, but unfortunately there isn’t much out there on Isabel’s stage work, which I guess is understandable seeing as they were amateur high school productions. ACTRESS and conservationist Isabel Lucas supports rezoning the Coral Sea as a marine park, saying it would provide a “wonderful ocean legacy”. While opponents say rezoning the Coral Sea would cost hundreds of jobs, Lucas says the time for compromise has passed. “Protecting the Coral Sea as one very large marine park would be a wonderful ocean legacy for future generations in Cairns,” she told The Weekend Post. “I believe in compromises and understand that change can feel threatening, but how can we suggest a compromise when there is the fact that 90 per cent of the world’s ocean fish have disappeared in the last 50 years and when at the current rate of overfishing, it is forecast that global fisheries will collapse in less than another 50 years? Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett last month proposed one million sq km of the Coral Sea be declared a marine park. Ms Lucas said the proposal was “inspirational”. “It’s an iconic place, with beautiful coral reefs and healthy populations of marlin, tuna and sharks – fish that are under so much pressure elsewhere,” she said. Mr Garrett last week deferred the proposal until after the election. Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has said he would put a freeze on all marine parks. |
